Annisquam Light Engagement Session, Gloucester Massachusetts

I have known Jake since my college days, which feels like forever ago! When he and his fiancé Paige asked me to shoot their engagement photos, I said of course! We met up at Annisquam Light for the engagement session before sunset, and we wandered all around the coastline waiting for the light show. The clouds were close to the horizon, but when the sun popped out, it was magnificent! They didn't even look cold, even though it was freezing. Such troopers!

Annisquam Light can be tricky for engagement sessions due to the lack of parking, and no parking signs. Do not block the entrance because you could potentially get towed. There is a lot to explore on the beach, too! You can walk the whole length of the rocky area along a path to get a view of the lighthouse in the distance, or you could walk next to the lighthouse for close ups. Just be respectful of the people who live there, because many of the houses are right on the water. We were able to walk right next to the lighthouse because it was low tide, but I've been here at high tide and it was quite tricky! You can find tide charts here.

I can't wait for Jake and Paige's wedding in May! Congrats, you two!
