New England documentary wedding & adventure elopement photographer

Documentary wedding photography, or photojournalistic wedding photography, is all about capturing your day as it naturally unfolds — whether that’s a full wedding or just the two of you eloping somewhere that means something. For the most part, this style is unposed. I’ll be a fly on the wall, capturing every detail and moment you might miss, so you can stay immersed in your day — with your people, or with each other — without worrying about me. The day will go so fast, and you don’t want to miss a single second of it. And I won’t either!

My goal is to document the authentic emotions, spontaneous interactions, and genuine expressions that tell the true story of your day. If there are family and friends there, I’ll organize a few group shots — but the rest of the time, I aim to blend into the background, observing and photographing without interfering. If it’s just the two of you on a mountaintop, even better; I’ll give you the space to actually be in it.

If you envision a gallery filled with candid, heartfelt moments rather than posed shots, we’ll be a great fit. If you have a Pinterest board full of specific poses and must-have shots, my approach might not be what you’re looking for — and that’s okay. My focus is on creating a timeless, authentic, and honest record of your day, wedding or elopement, that you can hold onto forever.
