Allison & Chase | Sconset Church & Bluff Walk | Nantucket, MA
I'm going to be honest — I was already emotional before I even got to the island.
I flew over on Cape Air, in the jump seat. Right next to the pilot, the whole windshield as your view, nothing but blue water below. It was terrifying but cool?? Still undecided. It was one of those days where the light just cooperates with everything. By the time the wheels touched down, I knew this was going to be a good one.
I Already Knew These Two
Allison and Chase aren't strangers to my camera. Last winter we headed to the Sandwich Beach boardwalk for their engagement session — golden hour on the beach, their two dogs, Allison's green diamond catching the last of the light. A green diamond set alongside an heirloom ring. It is so completely, perfectly her.
By the time their wedding day came, I already knew how they moved together, how they laughed, what a real moment looked like between them. That's the gift of an engagement session.
A Love Story That Started on the Island
They didn't choose Nantucket as a wedding destination. Nantucket is their story — they met here, fell in love here, kept coming back. So when it came time to get married, there was really only one answer.

The Church, the Backyard, the People
Their ceremony was at the Siasconset Union Chapel — a little church tucked into the village that somehow feels both historic and completely intimate. After, everyone moved to Allison's parents' backyard. No venue. Just family, their people, a place that already loved them. You can feel the difference.

The Bluff Walk
My favorite stretch of the day. We walked there from the church, passing the spot where Allison and Chase first met, and I just kept shooting. The Bluff Walk is timeless — roses on cottage fences, the bluff dropping to the water, afternoon light coming in low. We did portraits, but the frames I keep coming back to are the candid ones. Two people who just got married, taking it all in, walking together for the first time as husband and wife.

Film & Digital
They came to me because they loved candid photography and the look of film — my love language. I shot this wedding on both, and the way film renders Nantucket light is something I'll never get tired of.

To Allison & Chase
Thank you for letting me fly over in the jump seat to be there with you. Thank you for having all of your people there and making me feel like one of them. Nantucket looked stunning. So did you two!
