Documentary wedding photography for couples getting married in Vermont, with the people, atmosphere, and experience of the day at its heart. From a gathering at a country inn to a full wedding weekend in the mountains, I make photographs that let you return to how it all felt.
THE PHOTOGRAPHY
Your wedding is a gathering of people who matter to you. I pay attention to the conversations, the reactions, and the small exchanges around the room, as well as the two of you at the center of it.
We make time for family photographs and couple portraits, with clear, gentle direction when it is useful. Then you get back to the celebration. Documentary photography leaves room for the wedding you chose, rather than asking you to recreate it for the camera.
An intimate restaurant wedding, a weekend at a country inn, or a gathering at a family home can each have its own rhythm. My work is to notice what makes yours feel like yours.
MEET YOUR VERMONT WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
I’m Eleni, a documentary wedding photographer serving Vermont and New England in digital and 35mm film. Originally from New Hampshire, I’m drawn to celebrations where the setting means something and the people matter most.
From a wedding weekend in the Green Mountains to an intimate gathering in the Upper Valley, I take time to understand your people and your priorities before the day arrives. You can expect personal preparation, a calm presence, and photographs that follow what happens.
Away from weddings, I’m usually outdoors with my husband, Lukas, and our dog, Oskar, or making something with my hands. I’ve hiked the Appalachian Trail, and the mountains have a way of bringing me back.
GETTING MARRIED IN VERMONT
Vermont gives you room to gather in your own way: a country inn for the weekend, dinner overlooking the water, or a tent in a place your family has returned to for years. The photographs should hold both the setting and what happened there.
Woodstock & the Upper Valley. Village settings, country inns, and celebrations in Woodstock and Quechee lend themselves to a day with the people you love close by. If you are considering a restaurant wedding, the Simon Pearce story below is one example of how a smaller celebration can unfold.
Stowe & the Green Mountains. For a mountain wedding, we think through the light, the distance between locations, and an indoor alternative so that the photography fits comfortably into your plans.
Burlington & the Champlain Valley. A celebration by the lake can bring together waterfront views, time in town, and a shared meal. We plan portraits around the places that matter to you and leave room to enjoy the gathering.
I photograph weddings throughout Vermont, including southern Vermont and the Northeast Kingdom. You do not need to have every detail decided before getting in touch.
BEFORE THE DAY
We begin with a conversation about the kind of celebration you are planning, the people you want beside you, and what you most want to remember. Your coverage should fit that day.
I help with the photography timeline, including travel between locations, family photographs, and time for the two of you. For outdoor plans, we talk about an alternative before it is needed. For an intimate wedding, we think about how to make portraits without pulling you away from the gathering for too long.
My wedding collections begin at $5,000 for six hours. Eight- and ten-hour collections include a second photographer, and the ten-hour collection includes two rolls of film. Film photography can also be added to any package. Your proposal confirms the coverage and any travel details.
“The pictures are so incredible and we can’t thank you enough for adding so much comfort and happiness to all of our wedding events”
Allie & Brian
“Thank you so much for capturing all our loved ones so authentically!”
Porter & Josh
“You both captured so many beautiful little moments that we never would have seen in addition to ones that we will never forget.”
Laura & Harry
A FEW QUESTIONS
Yes. I’m available for weddings in Quechee, Woodstock, and throughout Vermont, as well as elsewhere in New England. Send your date and venue or location ideas, and we can talk through availability, coverage, and travel.
Yes. A smaller guest list can still hold a full day of getting ready, a ceremony, a shared meal, and time with your people. We choose the coverage around those plans, rather than assuming a small wedding needs only a few photographs.
Absolutely. We plan for the family photographs that matter to you and make space for relaxed couple portraits. I offer direction when it helps, then let you return to the day. Those photographs sit alongside the candid moments in the finished gallery.
Yes. A date or season, a location or starting idea, and a little about the wedding you want are enough to begin a conversation. I help shape the photography timeline as your plans develop.
Yes. I photograph on film and digital. The ten-hour wedding collection includes two rolls of film, and film can be added to any package. Explore film wedding photography here.
Start with an inquiry so we can check availability and talk about your plans. A signed agreement and retainer reserve the date. Your proposal brings the coverage and travel details together before you book.
YOUR PEOPLE. YOUR PLACE. YOUR DAY.
Tell me about the two of you, the place you have chosen—or the places you are considering—and what draws you to Vermont. I would love to hear what you are planning.
