Best Spots to Elope in New Hampshire

I love hiking, and am from New Hampshire, so I've had years and years to comprise this list of my favorite easy mountains to elope on. I broke it out by regions in the White Mountains, and then some regions in the state at the bottom. All of the hikes range in difficulty, but all are under 5 miles and close to a town for your dinner afterwards! Keep scrolling for the best spots to elope in New Hampshire.

(North) Conway

The North Conway area has so much variety and easy hikes, it makes for the perfect elopement spot! Some easy hikes I love are Cathedral Ledge, Kearsarge North, Moat Mountain, and Foss Mountain. The benefit is that there are tons of Airbnb's in the area, and restaurants you can book for an elopement dinner with your family or friends!

Presidential Range / Mount Washington

The Presidential Range is one of my favorite parts of the White Mountains, but it's not for the faint of heart. Mount Washington has some of the worst weather in the world, but it has its good days too, as do its neighbors. Mount Washington is the most accessible with the auto road, but you need to plan around what time it opens. If you're down for a hike, Mount Jackson and Mount Pierce are some of the "easier" peaks to summit, while Jefferson has the shortest hike to the top.

Franconia Notch

Franconia Notch has so much to offer, and I love it! The most accessible hike is Artist's Bluff, with sweeping views of Cannon ski area. Other easy hikes include Lonesome Lake, Middle Sugarloaf, and Welch Dickey.

Crawford Notch

Crawford Notch is also a favorite of mine. You've got Mount Willard right next to the Highland Center, and Mount Crawford down the road and both have stunning views. Mount Pierce, Mount Jackson, and Mount Eisenhower are also accessed from Crawford Notch, even though they are in the Presidential Range.

Seacoast

The NH seacoast is an incredible elopement spot as well because you have so much around in terms of lodging, quiet beach spots, and intimate restaurants in Portsmouth. Odiorne Point has so much to offer and it's super close to Portsmouth, making it a great elopement spot. NH may only have 13 miles of coastline, but it packs a punch!

Lakes Region

Where to even begin here! The lakes region has so many short hikes, but because of this, they can be busy. West Rattlesnake is only a .5 mile hike to an incredible view, so I recommend going to a popular spot like this at sunrise. Mount Major is also extremely popular, and only a 3 mile loop. Mount Morgan and Mount Percival are also around the corner, and have some fun ladder features to make it spicy.

Monadnock Region

The monadnock region is smaller and more intimate, but it has some incredible views. Dublin, Harrisville, and Jaffrey are towns surrounding the mountain, and views from every angle can be found.
