An engagement session is a special moment in the lead-up to your wedding. It's probably the first time you and your partner have professional photos done, and it allows you to bond with your photographer and get comfortable. The location you choose can set the tone for your future memories. Cape Cod offers some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the country, making it the perfect place to capture the love and excitement of your engagement. I've put together a list of some of my favorite locations for your engagement session on Cape Cod. These are also popular, so I recommend we shoot right before sunset, or for the brave, right before sunrise!

Nauset Light Beach

With its iconic lighthouse and stunning beach vistas, Nauset Light Beach is a popular location for engagement sessions. The sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean make it the perfect spot for a romantic and intimate photo session. Restrooms and bathhouse are open seasonally. Access to the beach is via a short, downhill path from the parking area.

Cape Cod Canal

The Cape Cod Canal is a historic waterway that runs between Cape Cod Bay and Buzzards Bay. With its peaceful and serene surroundings, this location is perfect for a more intimate and relaxed engagement session.

Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary

The Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary is a protected area that boasts stunning landscapes, including salt marshes, tidal pools, and pine forests. This location is perfect for nature lovers and those who want to incorporate the stunning local wildlife into their engagement session.

Race Point Beach

Chatham Lighthouse Beach

Chatham Lighthouse Beach is a popular destination for couples who want to capture the timeless beauty of Cape Cod. With its iconic lighthouse and pristine sandy beach, this location is perfect for a classic and romantic engagement session.

Cape Cod National Seashore

This national park offers miles of unspoiled beaches, sand dunes, and salt marshes, making it a great place for an engagement session. The park's varied landscapes provide a beautiful backdrop for photos and you're sure to find a quiet spot to capture some intimate moments together.

Wellfleet

This charming and laid-back town is another great location for an engagement session on Cape Cod. Wellfleet is known for its beautiful beaches and harbor, and there are plenty of spots here to capture some intimate and romantic moments together. The harbor is probably my favorite spot, with the Great Island walk a close second! My partner is from Wellfleet so I know it like the back of my hand. You could even charter a sunset catamaran for your shoot with Cape Cod Catamaran!

Truro & Provincetown Sand Dunes

The sand dunes offer a unique and beautiful setting for your photos, with their rolling hills and stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. The dunes provide a natural and romantic backdrop for your photos and are a great way to capture the essence of Cape Cod in your engagement session.

Grays Beach Boardwalk

This historic boardwalk is a must-visit spot for anyone visiting Cape Cod. Stretching along the coast of Yarmouth, the boardwalk offers breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Marconi Beach

This stunning beach is one of the most picturesque locations on Cape Cod. With its rolling dunes, crystal clear waters, and stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean, Marconi Beach is a perfect place for a beachy engagement session.
