About Eleni
Eleni (Philipon) Scott
Eleni Philipon (now, Scott as of June 2026!) is a documentary wedding and elopement photographer working throughout New England, including New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont, and wherever a celebration takes her. Her photographs follow the character of each day: its people, its setting, and the interactions that give it meaning. She works in digital and 35mm film.
Originally from New Hampshire, she has a lasting connection to the mountains, lakes, and coastline. That sense of place runs through her work, from a wedding on Cape Cod to an adventure elopement in the White Mountains.
Her approach is personal and observant. She takes time to understand what matters to each couple, prepares with care, and brings an experienced, unobtrusive presence to the day. The result is a collection of photographs shaped by the people who were there and the way it all unfolded.
Away from weddings, Eleni shares her life with her husband, Lukas, and their dog, Oskar. She has hiked the Appalachian Trail and is most at home in the mountains. She is also a metalsmith and is starting her pottery journey.

Artist statement
My work is rooted in observation. I pay attention to the way people find each other in a room, the gestures that happen between the expected moments, and the way a place becomes part of a memory.
A wedding has its own rhythm. I give it room to unfold, making photographs with care for light, composition, and the relationships in front of me. When direction is helpful, I offer it simply, then leave space for what happens next.
That approach carries from a gathering by the sea to an elopement high in the mountains. The scale changes; my attention stays with the people and the experience they are having.
I want you to return to these photographs and recognize your day: the atmosphere, the people you love, and the parts you were too caught up in living to notice.
